Born and raised in Charles Town, James decided to pursue a career and raise his family in the same town in which he grew up. He and his wife Rainny, and their son James Beckett, reside minutes from downtown Charles Town.

James attended Jefferson High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from West Virginia University and an MBA from American Public University.

He has owned and operated several small businesses in Jefferson County, including the Fun Shack, a family fun and entertainment center, and a food truck serving the Panhandle and local events.

James currently works as a West Virginia licensed realtor. He also works part time as a server/bartender at the Hollywood Casino Sportsbook Restaurant.

He loves spending time outdoors in local parks with his son and wife, playing disc golf and walking his dog Buddy.

James has a positive vision for Charles Town and Jefferson County and wants to make it the best place possible for people to reside.
